The couple that travels together, grows together

Our trip to Belgium a few weeks back would have never been possible a year ago, not because of any logistics issue, but simply because we lacked the spirit for it. The conditions were not ideal, but it was easily one of our most solid trips in a while. At the end of it, weContinue reading “The couple that travels together, grows together”

Thank you for 22,855 turtles swimming in the sea

I am one of the few lucky people in the world who has seen over a thousand sea turtle hatchlings crawl towards the sea in one go, suddenly changing the color of the coast, their small, fragile flippers leaving distinctive marks on the sand – living art in itself – but try as I might,Continue reading “Thank you for 22,855 turtles swimming in the sea”

What we’ll do in 2023

We are very grateful for 2022 and all the experiences it has brought. It kind of feels like two years have already passed actually and we are looking forward to a more grounded and purposeful new year. Our life has been in transition in recent years and most of our time has been devoted toContinue reading “What we’ll do in 2023”

Thank you for adopting 1,797 pawikan eggs, dear blog friends

We’ve been doing this together for three years now and your support continue to move us every time. To everyone who adopted pawikan nests from our previous post, a big thank you in behalf of the sea turtles and our small community of volunteers! Thank you for 25, 532 turtle hatchlings this pawikan Season 2

Earlier this month, the pawikan babies emerged out of the sand from the last nest in the hatchery adopted by Leeeeeenda. The total number of turtlesContinue reading “Thank you for 25, 532 turtle hatchlings this pawikan Season 2”

We have green sea turtles for Sean!

Some exciting news: Sean’s nest adopted for his grandson Leo surprised us by revealing themselves as the endangered green sea turtles. This is the first time we saw these babies at the hatchery. Aren’t they the cutest thing ever? We got the news and photos this morning and I could not wait to share itContinue reading “We have green sea turtles for Sean!”

In behalf of the sea turtles, thank you

We vividly remember the first time we posted about our turtle advocacy last season. We weren’t sure if it was the right thing to do. Your blog friendship is more than enough for us and we didn’t know if asking for donations for the turtles crosses a line. But Markus said, “This is about theContinue reading “In behalf of the sea turtles, thank you”

All the positivity you sent is working

I am feeling a lot better these past two weeks. I can finish my sentences without pause and walk without running out of breath. Doing nothing, relaxing the mind, and all your well-wishes helped a lot. And the medications, of course. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness. You were all so kind. It wasContinue reading “All the positivity you sent is working”

A fun Q&A to cure all ills

Along with gray skies and rain, June brought plenty of stress to our tiny house life, so much so that my respiratory problem flared up and I was chugging medications again. I swear, stress will be the death of me. This is why I put all my effort in designing a life that I love.Continue reading “A fun Q&A to cure all ills”
